1. e Aadhaar Download Procedure

You can download a secure, digital copy of your Aadhaar for official use across various services.

Steps to Download e-Aadhaar:

• Visit the my aadhaar udai.gov.in, and select Download Aadhaar.

• Enter your Aadhaar Number, Enrolment ID (EID), or Virtual ID (VID).
• Complete the captcha displayed on the screen.

• Authenticate via OTP sent to your registered mobile number.
• Download the PDF file of your e-Aadhaar.

Password Format: The PDF is password-protected. Use the first four capital letters of your name and your birth year.

Example: Name – Shivangi, Year of Birth – 2004 → Password = SHIV2004.

2. Check Enrolment or Aadhaar Update Status

Track the progress of your Aadhaar enrolment or update request online.

Steps:

• To check Aadhaar update status and enrolment, visit the official website and click Check Enrolment & Update Status.

• Enter your Update Request Number (URN) or Enrolment ID (EID).
• Authenticate using the OTP sent to your registered mobile number.

• The portal will display the current status of your Aadhaar request.

Alternative Method: You can also check your Aadhaar status by calling the toll-free number 1947. Follow the IVR instructions and enter your EID or URN to hear whether your Aadhaar has been generated or is still under processing.

3. Update Aadhaar Documents

If your Aadhaar details, such as name, address, date of birth, or gender, have changed, you can update them online.

Steps:

5. Verify Email or Mobile Number

6. Generate Virtual ID (VID)

• Visit https://myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/ and select VID Generator.

• Enter your Aadhaar Number and verify via OTP.
• Choose Generate New VID or Retrieve Existing VID.

• Your VID will appear on the screen and will also be sent to your registered mobile number.

7. Order Aadhaar PVC Card

The Aadhaar PVC Card is a durable, wallet-sized version of your Aadhaar.

Steps to Order:

• Visit uidai portal and click Order Aadhaar PVC Card.

• Enter your Aadhaar Number and complete the captcha.

• Proceed to pay a nominal fee of ₹50 (inclusive of GST & Speed Post charges).
• After successful payment, your PVC Aadhaar card will be delivered to your registered address.

Track Delivery:

• Go to the Check Aadhaar PVC Card Status page.

• Enter your Service Request Number (SRN) and captcha.

• Click Submit to view the status, such as “Order Processed,” “Handed Over to DoP,” or “Delivered.”

UIDAI dispatches the card to the Department of Post within 5 working days, and delivery takes 5–15 days via Speed Post.

8. Locate Aadhaar Enrolment Centre

If you prefer offline services, you can locate the nearest Aadhaar Seva Kendra easily.
